There is a saying, 'If you can't find it on Google, it doesn't exist'. I disagree. From the past few months, I have been observing that Twitter is constantly surpassing my expectations as a website and a platform. My online/virtual world has started revolving around Twitter. I have stopped using Facebook that much, or any other site for that matter; it is all about TWITTER. Twitter started off as a Micro-Blogging website. Now it also works as a news platform, where people find out about current affairs etc. Not only that but in my experience, Twitter has helped me answer my questions, better than Google. Two examples. I was looking for the phone number and location, of the Lal Qila restaurant in Dubai on Google. Neither could I find any information on Lal Qila on Google and neither could I find the number. So technically speaking, according to that phrase, I didn't find it on Google means it doesn't exist? I tweeted out to my followers if anyone had hear...

It is a dream come true, for many of Dubai’s foodies.  The US chain Shake Shack has just opened its first outlet outside the US, thanks to M. H. Al Shaya Co., who are the franchisee, in Dubai’s hip Mall of the Emirates.  The Shake Shack, a burger joint in the US, opened its first outlet in Madison Square Park in 2004, in NY and instantly became extremely famous. Now it is finally in Dubai to tantalise our taste buds, with NY’s hottest burgers.  Shake Shack in Dubai, is located in the West Food court in Mall of the Emirates, where Starbucks used to be. Starbucks has moved to the place of the French bakery, giving way to Shake Shack.  It seems to have attracted quite a lot of attention. A lot of us live carefree lives. We smile, hang out with friends,  listen to music, do whatever we want and take it easy. A lot of us live without the fear of death. We don't think that we could die, because we are too young. How could we possibly die? What if you were one of those people that knew you were going to die soon? By Aisha Yaqub A polluted lake found in the Arabian Ranches community of Dubai, is in the process of being cleaned and the water purified, after a shocking discovery of a dead duck by residents led to questions being raised.  Residents of the three Al Reem communities in Arabian Ranches, share a common lake and people walk at the lake during various times of the day. On 2 8th March, Lubna Akram a resident of Al Reem 1 was walking at the lake when she found the dead duck.  “I was walking and sensed some pungent smell in the air. It was very intense. I kept walking and came upon a few ducks. When I saw closely, one was lying flat on its back. I thought it looked dead.” According to Ms. Akram, there was also abnormal white foam over the water in the lake, which she had never seen before.  “I have been walking at this lake from the past 4 years now and have never seen such foam floating on top of the water before.” she added.  Soon residents started raising questio...

One of Kingfisher’s very own swimwear calendar model had vowed to strip in the stadium and in front of the Indian team in the dressing room, if India won the World Cup final against Sri Lanka and became World Champions. Her reason for doing this was to cheer the Indian team and excite the players to do well. A lot of controversy was created after her announcement, from both devout Hindus and Muslims in India, saying this goes against moral and cultural values. India battled it out against Sri Lanka on April 2nd in Mumbai to lift the World Cup and bring victory to the nation after 28 years, however Poonam Pandey has still not fulfilled her promise, and she has still not done what she had vowed to do.
