Pakistan 'Pakistunned' Their Way In to the Semi-Final
With a charge led by the Pakistani skipper Shahid Afridi, the Pakistani Cricket Team has managed to storm their way in to the semi-finals, after beating West Indies in the crucial Quarter Final here at the Sher-e-Bangla cricket stadium in Dhaka, Bangladesh on Wednesday. This is the first time the Pakistani cricket team has entered the semi-finals, since entering the semi-finals in England in 1999 and losing to Australia. The West Indies won the toss and elected to bat first on a sluggish pitch and suffered the consequences. A Pakistani spin bowling attack spearheaded by Afridi, bowled West Indies out for 112, setting a target of 113 to win for Pakistan, a target Pakistan easily reached in the 21 st over.
